कोरबा । SECL मुख्यालय बिलासपुर में ऊर्जाधानी भू-विस्थापित किसान कल्याण समिति के साथ महत्वपूर्ण बैठक संपन्न हुई। सीएमडी और बोर्ड सदस्यों की उपस्थिति में भू-विस्थापितों की 12 सूत्रीय मांगों पर सकारात्मक चर्चा हुई।

प्रमुख निर्णयों में कोरबा और रायगढ़ क्षेत्र के भू-विस्थापित परिवारों को पुनर्वास के लिए अतिरिक्त 3 लाख रुपए दिए जाएंगे। आउटसोर्सिंग कंपनियों में भू-विस्थापितों के लिए 80 प्रतिशत नौकरियां आरक्षित करने का प्रस्ताव है। केंद्रीय पुनर्वास नीति 2013 को लागू करने की पहल की जाएगी।

भू-विस्थापितों के कल्याण के लिए कई महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाए जाएंगे। इनमें कौशल उन्नयन कार्यक्रम, स्वरोजगार के अवसर, पुनर्वास ग्रामों में विकास कार्य और नियमित मेडिकल कैंप शामिल हैं। डीएवी केंद्रीय स्कूलों में शिक्षा के लिए आरक्षण भी दिया जाएगा।

यह निर्णय 1 अप्रैल को हुए आक्रोश रैली और 16 अप्रैल को SECL की विभिन्न खदानों में हुए ऐतिहासिक आंदोलन का परिणाम है। इस बैठक में कोरबा, कुसमुंडा, गेवरा, दीपका, रायगढ़, हसदेव, चिरमिरी और सोहागपुर एरिया के 47 भू-विस्थापित प्रतिनिधि उपस्थित थे।

प्रतिमाह समस्या समाधान शिविर का भी आयोजन किया गया है।

भू-विस्थापितों के लिए कॉपरेटिव के माध्यम से पेट्रोल पंप और मसाला उद्योग स्थापित करने की योजना पर भी विचार किया गया है। प्रबंधन ने भू-विस्थापितों की समस्याओं के समाधान के लिए प्रतिमाह समस्या समाधान शिविर आयोजित करने का भी आश्वासन दिया है।

कोरबा । कोरबा जिले में अवैध शराब पर कार्रवाई करने पहुंची पुलिस को ग्रामीणों ने घेर लिया। बेचुल भाटा गांव में पुलिस टीम जब एक ग्रामीण के घर से साढ़े चार लीटर महुआ शराब जब्त कर रही थी, तब गांव वालों ने इसका विरोध शुरू कर दिया।

मामला उरगा थाना क्षेत्र का है। घटना में महिलाएं और बच्चों सहित कई लोगों ने पुलिस टीम को घेर लिया। इस दौरान तनावपूर्ण माहौल बन गया। स्थिति को देखते हुए मौके पर तुरंत उच्च अधिकारियों को सूचना दी गई।

ग्रामीणों का आरोप है कि आबकारी और पुलिस विभाग के लोग थोड़ी मात्रा में शराब मिलने पर भी उसकी मात्रा बढ़ाकर दिखाते हैं। वे कार्रवाई न करने के नाम पर मोटी रकम की मांग करते हैं।

कोरबा सीएसपी भूषण एक्का मौके पर अपनी टीम के साथ पहुंचे। उन्होंने ग्रामीणों से बातचीत की और स्थिति को शांत कराया। सीएसपी ने बताया कि मामला अब शांत हो गया है और आगे की कार्रवाई की जा रही है।

Balconagar, : Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO), India’s iconic aluminium producer and part of Vedanta Aluminium, recently wrapped up the fourth edition of its annual Wish Tree Campaign, spreading joy among children in its neighbouring communities. The campaign brought to life the heartfelt wishes of children from underprivileged backgrounds, with BALCO’s employees stepping up as volunteers to make those dreams come true.

The initiative is built around the simple yet powerful idea of fulfilling the wishes of children from underprivileged backgrounds. Over 500 wishes were collected from children aged between 3 to 10 years from 25 remote villages. These children expressed simple desires, ranging from pencil boxes, clothing, schoolbags, to shoes and other necessities. They were fulfilled by more than 300 employee volunteers, who personally selected, purchased, and gifted the items.

Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Rajesh Kumar, CEO and Director, BALCO, said, “At BALCO, we believe that even the smallest act of kindness can leave a lasting impact. The Wish Tree Campaign holds a special place in our hearts; it’s a reminder that joy multiplies when shared. Through the Wish Tree Campaign, BALCO’s employees asked them what they wished for and also fulfilled those simple yet meaningful desires. It’s deeply encouraging to see a company step forward like this, with such genuine care for the community.

Fiza, an employee volunteer, said, “Seeing the joy on a child’s face when they received their gift was incredibly moving. The Wish Tree Campaign is a beautiful reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can create a lasting impact. BALCO ingrains this spirit of giving back to society through multiple such initiatives.”
