● Conclave to bring 200+ national and 11 international experts to advance multidisciplinary and patient-centric cancer care

Raipur, Chhattisgarh 14 September 2026: BALCO Medical Centre (BMC), a leader in cancer care in Central India, announces the 4th edition of the annual BMC Chhattisgarh Cancer Conclave, to be held from 18th to 20th September 2026 at Mayfair Lake Resorts, Naya Raipur. The conclave will also mark the 7th year of the Choosing Wisely India meeting in collaboration with ecancer, Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai, and the National Cancer Grid.

Held under the theme ‘Restoring Balance to Cancer Care’, this year’s conclave will focus on breast, gynecological and genitourinary cancers, with particular attention to treatment choices and the growing need for patient-centric care. The scientific sessions will address key questions shaping cancer care today, including when treatment should be escalated or de-escalated, how to avoid unnecessary interventions, how to involve patients in treatment decisions, and how global evidence can be applied in everyday cancer care in India.

The conclave will bring together 11 international faculty from the UK, the USA, the UAE, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Israel, Belgium, Canada and Switzerland, alongside more than 200 national and regional oncology experts. Together, they will contribute to a wide-ranging program covering advances in cancer treatment, clinical research, precision oncology, radiation, surgery and emerging technologies.

Over the three days, the conclave will feature 20+ panel discussions, multidisciplinary sessions, debates and case-based discussions, along with live breast cancer surgical demonstrations. The program will also include first-of-its-kind hands-on workshops on interstitial brachytherapy, clinical research and clinical trial development, germline genetics and precision oncology, oncopathology, AI in healthcare, and next-generation nuclear medicine and theranostics.

A Women for Oncology (W4O India) networking and mentorship meeting will also be part of the conclave, bringing together women professionals in oncology to connect, share experiences, support one another and explore opportunities for mentorship and leadership.

Beyond the academic program BMC will present ‘Canvas for ‘A’ Life’, an art and heritage exhibition in support of the BMC Charitable Fund. The Fund helps patients through gap funding for treatment, diagnostics and nutrition, while also supporting accommodation and logistics during treatment.

Last year, the conclave witnessed an overwhelming response with a footfall of more than 1,000 delegates including clinicians, students, and healthcare professionals. This year’s edition is expected to be even larger, bringing together voices from across the world to plan a more effective path for equitable cancer care in India.

रायपुर, 14 सितंबर 2026। मध्य भारत में कैंसर उपचार के क्षेत्र में अग्रणी बालको मेडिकल सेंटर (बीएमसी) द्वारा चौथा बीएमसी छत्तीसगढ़ कैंसर कॉन्क्लेव 18 से 20 सितंबर 2026 तक मेफेयर लेक रिजॉर्ट्स, नया रायपुर में आयोजित किया जाएगा। इस आयोजन के साथ चूजिंग वाइजली इंडिया की सातवीं बैठक भी आयोजित होगी, जो ईकैंसर, टाटा मेमोरियल सेंटर, मुंबई और नेशनल कैंसर ग्रिड के सहयोग से आयोजित की जा रही है।

इस वर्ष कॉन्क्लेव की थीम ‘कैंसर उपचार में संतुलन की पुनर्स्थापना’ है। इसमें मुख्य रूप से स्तन कैंसर, स्त्री रोग संबंधी कैंसर और मूत्र-जनन तंत्र के कैंसर पर चर्चा होगी। उपचार के सही विकल्प चुनने और मरीज की जरूरतों को ध्यान में रखते हुए मरीज-केंद्रित उपचार को बढ़ावा देने पर विशेष ध्यान दिया जाएगा। विभिन्न सत्रों में अनावश्यक उपचार से बचने, उपचार से जुड़े निर्णयों में मरीज की भागीदारी सुनिश्चित करने और दुनिया भर में उपलब्ध वैज्ञानिक प्रमाणों को भारत में रोजमर्रा के कैंसर उपचार में प्रभावी रूप से अपनाने पर चर्चा होगी।

उन्होंने आगे कहा, “कैंसर उपचार की क्षमता को मजबूत करने के साथ अगली पीढ़ी के विशेषज्ञों को तैयार करना भी जरूरी है। इसी उद्देश्य से हर वर्ष हम देशभर के 50 युवा डॉक्टरों को यात्रा सहायता देते हैं, ताकि वे कॉन्क्लेव में शामिल होकर इस क्षेत्र के श्रेष्ठ विशेषज्ञों से सीख सकें और अपने ज्ञान व कौशल को मजबूत कर सकें।”

कॉन्क्लेव में यूके, अमेरिका, यूएई, नेपाल, श्रीलंका, इजराइल, बेल्जियम, कनाडा और स्विट्जरलैंड से 11 अंतरराष्ट्रीय विशेषज्ञ शामिल होंगे। इनके साथ देशभर से 200 से अधिक राष्ट्रीय और क्षेत्रीय कैंसर विशेषज्ञ भी भाग लेंगे। विशेषज्ञ कैंसर उपचार, चिकित्सा अनुसंधान, सटीक कैंसर उपचार, रेडिएशन, सर्जरी और नई चिकित्सा तकनीकों से जुड़े विषयों पर अपने अनुभव साझा करेंगे।

तीन दिनों के दौरान 20 से अधिक परिचर्चाएं, बहु-विषयक सत्र, वाद-विवाद और वास्तविक मरीजों के मामलों पर आधारित चर्चाएं आयोजित की जाएंगी। इसमें स्तन कैंसर की लाइव सर्जरी का प्रदर्शन भी शामिल होगा। साथ ही विशेष प्रशिक्षण कार्यशालाओं का आयोजन किया जाएगा। इनमें इंटरस्टिशियल ब्रैकीथेरेपी, चिकित्सा अनुसंधान और क्लिनिकल ट्रायल की रूपरेखा, आनुवंशिक जांच और सटीक कैंसर उपचार, कैंसर की पैथोलॉजी, स्वास्थ्य क्षेत्र में एआई तथा नई पीढ़ी की न्यूक्लियर मेडिसिन और थेरानोस्टिक्स जैसे विषय शामिल होंगे।

कॉन्क्लेव में वीमेन फॉर ऑन्कोलॉजी की नेटवर्किंग और मार्गदर्शन बैठक भी आयोजित होगी। इसमें कैंसर उपचार के क्षेत्र में कार्यरत महिला विशेषज्ञों को एक-दूसरे से जुड़ने, अपने अनुभव साझा करने, सहयोग बढ़ाने और नेतृत्व व मार्गदर्शन के अवसर तलाशने का मंच मिलेगा।

शैक्षणिक कार्यक्रम के साथ बीएमसी की ओर से ‘कैनवास फॉर ए लाइफ’ नाम से कला और विरासत प्रदर्शनी भी आयोजित की जाएगी। यह प्रदर्शनी बीएमसी चैरिटेबल फंड के समर्थन में होगी। यह फंड जरूरतमंद मरीजों को उपचार, जांच और पोषण के लिए आर्थिक सहायता उपलब्ध कराने के साथ उपचार के दौरान आवास और अन्य आवश्यक सुविधाओं में भी सहयोग करता है।

परंपरागत हुनर के साथ आधुनिक उत्पाद बनाने का प्रशिक्षण,आजीविका के नए अवसर सृजित करने की पहल

कोरबा, 13 सितंबर 2026। कलेक्टर कुणाल दुदावत के निर्देशन एवं मुख्य कार्यपालन अधिकारी, जिला पंचायत कोरबा प्रतीक जैन के मार्गदर्शन में जिले में विशेष पिछड़ी जनजाति (पीवीटीजी) परिवारों को आजीविका से जोड़ने और उनकी पारंपरिक कला एवं कौशल को रोजगार के बेहतर अवसरों में परिवर्तित करने के लिए निरंतर प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं। इसी क्रम में राष्ट्रीय ग्रामीण आजीविका मिशन (बिहान) के अंतर्गत पोड़ी उपरोड़ा विकासखंड के ग्राम पंचायत कोनकोना के आश्रित ग्राम समेलीभाटा में निवासरत बिरहोर परिवारों को बांस कला का विशेष प्रशिक्षण प्रदान किया जा रहा है। यह प्रशिक्षण 10 से 19 सितंबर तक ग्रामीण स्वरोजगार प्रशिक्षण संस्थान(आरसेटी)कोरबा के माध्यम से आयोजित किया जा रहा है।

समेलीभाटा के बिरहोर परिवार लंबे समय से पारंपरिक रूप से बांस शिल्प निर्माण का कार्य करते आ रहे हैं। इनके द्वारा बांस से टोकनी, सूपा, झापी सहित विभिन्न उपयोगी वस्तुएं तैयार कर स्थानीय हाट-बाजारों में विक्रय की जाती हैं। हालांकि पारंपरिक उत्पादों तक सीमित बाजार और उचित मूल्य नहीं मिलने के कारण कारीगरों को अपनी मेहनत के अनुरूप पर्याप्त आमदनी प्राप्त नहीं हो पाती। इसे ध्यान में रखते हुए जिला प्रशासन द्वारा इन परिवारों के पारंपरिक हुनर को आधुनिक बाजार की मांग के अनुरूप विकसित करने की पहल की गई है।

प्रशिक्षण के दौरान बांस शिल्पकारों को पारंपरिक उत्पादों के साथ-साथ आधुनिक एवं आकर्षक सजावटी वस्तुएं तैयार करने का प्रशिक्षण दिया जा रहा है। इनमें आकर्षक गुलदस्ते, सीनरी, झालर तथा अन्य उपयोगी एवं सजावटी बांस उत्पाद शामिल हैं। प्रशिक्षण का उद्देश्य बांस शिल्पकारों के कौशल में निखार लाते हुए उनके उत्पादों में विविधता, गुणवत्ता और आकर्षण बढ़ाना है, ताकि वे स्थानीय स्तर से आगे बढ़कर व्यापक बाजार की मांग के अनुरूप उत्पाद तैयार कर सकें।

जिला प्रशासन की इस पहल से बिरहोर परिवारों की पारंपरिक कला को संरक्षित करने के साथ ही उसे आय के स्थायी एवं बेहतर माध्यम के रूप में विकसित करने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है। प्रशिक्षण के पश्चात राष्ट्रीय ग्रामीण आजीविका मिशन (बिहान) के माध्यम से इन परिवारों द्वारा तैयार उत्पादों के लिए बाजार उपलब्ध कराने की दिशा में भी कार्य किया जाएगा। इससे बांस शिल्पकारों को अपने उत्पादों के बेहतर मूल्य प्राप्त करने, बाजार से सीधे जुड़ने तथा अपनी आय बढ़ाने के अवसर मिलेंगे।
